A recent scout around YouTube revealed what looks to be a new commercial from the world of online bingo. However, this isn’t a big name brand and there isn’t actually a celebrity to be seen in the advert although the brand is named after a popular TV show, a show that features quite a few well-known names. The commercial is for Benidorm Bingo, a site that has been open since the end of 2011.
Powered by the Virtue Fusion software Benidorm Bingo is one of the lesser known brands using the product but it has strong branding thanks to the television comedy series of the same name.
The TV show Benidorm is a TV sitcom that was written by Darren Litten and is produced by Tiger Aspect TV. It is the latter than owns the copyright at the bingo site. The sixth series of the show started on ITV on 2nd January 2014 and us currently showing on the small screen. The show has won a number of awards including the Best Situation Comedy in the National Television Awards in 2008 and 2011
We’ve yet to actually see this bingo commercial on television, so we’re not 100% sure if it is currently airing or will be in the not too distant future. If you have not seen it, click the image below to view the Benidorm Bingo advert:
As you can see in the advert Neptunes, the all-inclusive bar/restaurant featured in the show, makes a cameo appearance. This is where the majority of the cast tend to eat during the show and the bar hosts karaoke every night.
It may not be all singing and all dancing like the Foxy commercial nor does it feature a gigantic Spice Girl BUT, with a solid fan base for the sitcom the Benidorm Bingo advert could attract new players to the site.
