Wink Bingo are set to launch a new marketing campaign with the next couple of weeks and the star of the new advert is not going to be a dancing dog! For a couple of months now we have seen the dancing Weimaraner take centre stage in the marketing for this well known brand but he is soon to be made redundant by none other than the Dream Idols, a male glamour dance group.
This isn’t the first time that the Dream Idols have had their hands on the bingo balls either, previously they were sponsored by Boyle Bingo. This saw the lads getting their kit off and various nightclubs up and down the country in an effort to raise brand awareness for Boyle, something that it certainly did.
We’re not sure of the format that the new advertising for Wink Bingo will take although the brand is well known for its innuendo. It is likely to be very ‘tongue in cheek’ advertising for their brand. The PR company that have landed the contract from 888 is The Cult PR. This company have clients that include Adam Ant, Stringfellows, David Gest and Michael Underwood. The news section of their web site speaks of their excitement at landing the Wink Bingo/Dream Idols collaboration:
‘And the melon-wedge grins of The Cult team will tell you that we are impossibly excited about this huge campaign, which will be ridiculous amount of fun.’
Mickey Elimelech, Vice President of Bingo for 888, said
“Creating the new campaign for Wink Bingo featuring the Dream Idols has been so much fun and I am confident that our Bingo community will really enjoy all the treats we have in store with this new endorsement – starting with a great TV commercial.”
