Back in June we were all excited with news of a supposed ‘soon to launch’ Betfair Bingo but some six months later there is still not launch date so what’s happened to Betfair Bingo? A deal was signed between PlayTech and Betfair in June and reports were that we were to see Betfair TV launch bingo but as yet we have no seen it come for fruition.
Could it be attributed to the fact that PlayTech is not the most popular bingo software or simply that they are working to upgrade the platform before launching BetFair Bingo. At the time the news broke there had been conflicting stores with an BetFair spokesperson stating that they were NOT going to be launching a new internet bingo site powered by the PlayTech software.
At the same time of signing BetFair, PlayTech also landed ChiliPoker and there was similar talk of Chili Bingo launching, another that we have yet to see hit the new bingo sites list. A little investigation into who owns the domain ChiliBingo.com shows that it has been registered by a proxy domain host whilst ChiliPoker.com is owned by Gaminvest Holdings in Cyprus.
The Betfair Bingo domain, well one of them, is owned by The Sporting Exchange, the company who owns the domain betfair.com, so could we soon be seeing this new bingo site launch?
Companies that have offered sports betting, poker and casino online have a strong presence in the internet bingomarket, you only have to look at the success of Ladbrokes Bingo, William Hill Bingo, Paddy Power Bingo and bet365 Bingo to see the potential for BetFair Bingo. However, the big names who have already digressed into the world of online bingo have chosen to use the Virtue Fusion bingo software rather than PlayTech.
We will just have to wait and see as to what’s happened with Betfair Bingo; keep an eye on our new bingo sitessection!
