Virgin Bingo has been around for a number of years, and over that time has gone through many changes. In 2013 though, the brand was put up for sale, and subsequently purchased by Gamesys, the company that operates some of the biggest names on the market including JackpotJoy, Sun Bingo and Fabulous Bingo to name but a few. Virgin Bingo is now incorporated into Virgin Games, where it sits alongside its sister sites; Virgin Slots and Virgin Casino.

The new ownership bought with it new software for Virgin Bingo and a whole new look. Land on homepage for the first time, and you can’t help but be impressed by how slick and modern it looks. They have maintained the red, black and white colour scheme we now associate with the Virgin brand, but they also added a couple of cute hostesses that would not look out of place on one of Richard Branson’s jumbo jets. At the top of the page is a scrolling banner detailing their latest offers, and to the right of this is three simple buttons leading to the three sub-sites.

Click on the ‘Join Now’ button and you will be taken through a three stage process. You will need to add credit card details, but no money will be taken until you decide if you want to deposit or not. There are loads of different depositing options including all major credit and debit cards, Neteller, Paypal and Skrill. You will be welcomed on board with a larger then average bonus but unfortunately this is where they end.

Once you head into the bingo lobby, you may be shocked to see there are only three rooms available; Adventure, Enterprise and Voyage. There is only 90 ball and 75 ball to choose from, but with cards starting at just 2p each, they do offer something for all budgets. The rooms themselves are very basic with no real options to mention, but everything runs really smoothly and the software is slick, makeing a lot of the platforms out there look very dated.

Being able to access Virgin Casino and Virgin Slots with the same log in details is a real bonus, as this gives you access to a wider variety of slots and mini games. The games you will find in these two sites look great, offer hours of fun and the chance to win some massive progressive jackpots. You will also be able to play the free Search for the Phoenix game, where you have the chances to win prizes, free spins and golden eggs that you can unlocked at the end of each week.

On top of all of this, Virgin Bingo is home to a great range of promotions. There are regulars such as the daily link games with their guaranteed jackpots, BOGOF Bingo and the chance to win V*Points each day which you can cash in or exchange for Flying Club miles. In addition to this, they regularly add monthly specials to their line-up, giving you the opportunity to win prizes such as luxurious weekends away in top European destinations.

Virgin Bingo impressed in many ways, they are one of the best looking sites out there and you are guaranteed hour of entertainment thanks to the wide range of games available across the three Virgin Brands. The lack of choice in the bingo rooms is letting the brand down however, and this is something they really need to focus on. Previous versions of the site had a lot more to offer including a mobile platform, but fingers crossed this is something they will rectify in the near future.

Virgin Bingo Review – Bingo Games

Game Options at Virgin Bingo

Head into the Virgin Bingo lobby and you will find just three rooms; two offering 90 ball bingo and one 75 ball. The rooms themselves are nicely designed but very basic. To the left of the screen you have a small panel where you can play instant games, the middle of the screen is dedicated to your cards and to the right is the chat panel. Click on the small cog in the top right hand corner and you can alter your font size and colour, but sadly that is where the personalisation ends. There are no options for different daubers shapes and colours, and there is not even the option to manually mark your cards. your cards.

Free Bingo

Virgin Bingo do not offer any free bingo games as such, but they do have a daily free game. You can play Search for the Phoenix once a day to win a guaranteed prize of extra cash or free spins. As you play the game, you will also earn eggs, and there is a special game at the end of each month where they are unlocked to reveal what you have won.

Guaranteed and Progressive Jackpots

Virgin Bingo host several special link games each day between 8am and 10pm. Each one of these games complete with a guaranteed cash prize, giving you the chance to win up to £2,000. In addition to this, each room has its own progressive jackpot that is constantly increasing until it is won.

Promotions

Virgin Bingo’s promotions are a little different to those you may have experienced on other sites. Bingo is part of the much larger Virgin Games site, which encompasses Virgin Casino and Virgin Slots too. As such, all of their promotions run across all three sub sites and are available to all of their players. In addition to the daily free game and the link games, you will also find BOGOF Bingo, and regular monthly specials where you can in prizes.
