Mid May 2015 saw the arrival of Frozen Bingo to the world of online gaming, another brand to be launched by the popular Mandalay Media / Intertain collaboration. The home page, as you might expect from a brand of this name, features an array of things that certainly wouldn’t look out of place in a Disney film or an Artic landscape.
You’re not greeted by Elsa or Anna at Frozen Bingo but you will find their very own version of Olaf on the home page alongside a cute selection of bingo ball penguins. The design is certainly fitting for the brand name and very cutesie.
To get started on your chilly journey at this site you have to spend a few moments registering an account with the brand. It’s a simple enough process that takes just a few minutes and then you are ready to play. You should note that if a no deposit required bonus is being offered at the time that you register, this will only be credited if you add your financial details in the sign up form.
As soon as registration is complete you are taken to Today’s Forecast, a page that offers information about the welcome offer and current promotions available at the site. To get in on the bingo action you just have to click ‘Play Now’ and you’ll slide on it to the lobby of Frozen Bingo.
The Bingo Lobby At Frozen Bingo
When you enter the lobby of this brand you’ll find that it has a similar lay out to other brands from this company, brands like Dino, Rio, Giant etc.
The navigational menu is horizontal and boasts tabs that include Free, Free £10K, 90 ball, 75 ball, 1p Penguins, Cool Jackpots, VIP and Slots. You’ll also find the special promotional games listed in the menu should there be any in the future. Simply choose an area that appeals to you and you will find an abundance of information available.
For example, under the 90 ball section you can see several rooms with the following information available:
- Room Name
- Game Type
- Ticket Price
- Maximum Number of Cards
- Number of Players
- Time Until Next Game
Bingo Rooms At Frozen Bingo
When you have chosen the room you wish to play in you’ll find that the layout is standard to that found at other 888 / Cassava sites. To the right of the screen are your purchasing options (which becomes the call board when a game is in play). In the middle of the screen are your bingo tickets along with details of the prize money above them.
The left of the screen is dedicated to the bingo chat room and the mini games that you can play in the same room as your bingo.
The site offers three different game types – standard 75 ball pattern games, multi-line 75 ball games and 90 ball bingo.
Frozen Bingo is just another skin of the many other sites available from Mandalay Media / Intertain and with the linked games, offers very little that is unique.
That said, when they do bingo, they do it well so we’ll not be giving the site the cold shoulder!
Frozen Bingo Review – Bingo Games
Game Options at Frozen Bingo
As we have already said early in the review, Frozen Bingo offers three different game variants of bingo to their players:
- 75 ball pattern
- 75 ball multi-line
- 90 ball bingo
When it comes to customising your game play in the rooms at Frozen Bingo you have a number of options and these are accessible from the Options button at the top of the screen when in a games room. You have the choice of General, In Game, Chat and Daubing Configuration as ways to change how the game plays for you on your screen.
From the moment you skate into Frozen Bingo it is clear to see that this brand has an abundance of free bingo available. What you do have to remember is that the majority of the free play games are linked with other brands under the Mandalay Media / Intertain hat.
There are several free rooms available, most open to all players. However some have restricted access to players who have made a recent deposit at the site.
The biggest free game is the £10K Ice Cube which plays every Friday and offers a prize pool that is split as follows:
- 2TG share £1,000
- 1TG share £1,500
- One line for £2,000
- Two lines for £2,500
- Full House for £3,000
The above is a linked game so you will be competing against other players at other sites for the prize pool.
With just one chat room across the whole site, the chat games are quite limited at Frozen Bingo as they are unable to offer number based games. At the time of the review the following game was being played:
The host will ask 3 or 4 questions throughout the hour based on current rooms and promotions happening at the site. The first player who answers correctly will win 250 points.
The promotions at Frozen Bingo were quite limited at the time of writing the review with the emphasis being on the penny penguin games and the free bingo options at the site. That said, these brands usually come into their own with a more impressive promotional schedule about a month after launch so check back later for more details.
