This bingo sweetshop that is Candy Shop Bingo opened in April 2015, another outpost of the gigantic Cassava/888 empire. For players that means big-name backing and games software that powers some of the most well-known names in bingo.

Candy Shop Bingo isn’t one of those giants though, and the site is more friendly corner shop than Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory. It looks nice enough, with a cartoon character called Betty to welcome you in, and the site is easy to navigate, but it isn’t strikingly original or beautiful.

The candy theme is reflected in a special bonus game called Candy Collector, based on a gumball machine that allows you to gamble Candy Coins for bonus funds, loyalty points and cash. You get coins as soon as you join and earn more by depositing.

If you like the look of Betty’s Candy Shop, then getting inside is as easy as taking candy off a baby (not that you’d do that of course, it’s terrible!).

The sign-up form is a three-stage process, with autocomplete for your address. As this is a networked site you may have to dream up a new user name, and remember that it’s good for your online safety not to use the same password over multiple sites.

Once inside you’re invited to look at your inbox, where Betty communicates site news and will welcome you with a couple of Candy Coins to play in the Candy Collector game.

Candy Shop Bingo offers 75-ball and 90-ball bingo. It also has a large selection of slots from the Cassava/888 collection, including big favourites like Starburst, Fluffy Favourites, and X Factor. These games can be played as stand-alones or in the bingo rooms while you wait for a game to start or watch your cards.

There are progressive jackpots for both bingo and slots.

Candy Shop Bingo is available on smartphones and tablets with an app you can download.

There’s a loyalty scheme offering goodies like cashback for slots and bingo, free slots spins and big jackpot game tickets. However, it’s one of those schemes that resets, so you’ll start from scratch each month.

Candy Shop Bingo should be congratulated on its excellent help page, which is very easy to understand and signposts players clearly where they need to go. The FAQs and game guides are good too.

Once you’ve had a look around you’ll want to click on the “Lobby” button to launch the games in a full-screen pop-up window.

The games are divided into promoted games, free games, the standard bingo games, special big prize games and slots, which launch in another pop-up.

The lobby cards tell you the type of game in each room, the ticket price, the next jackpot prize, the number of players in the room and the time to the next game.

The Cassava/888 game room works very well. Chat is to the right, cards in the centre with buying options to the left, and game details above. A strip of mini games sits above the chat window, and your account status and room options are at the top of the screen.

The chat hosts seemed to know what they were talking about and were very welcoming and ready with answers to the questions we asked. There seems to have been an agreement in the bingo world that everyone should be called, “Hon” in chat and Candy Shop Bingo certainly got that memo.

Candy Shop Bingo Summary

This is a sweet little site, with a nice gimmick in the unique Candy Collector game. It’s a big network site though and doesn’t offer all that much that experienced players won’t have seen elsewhere in terms of promotions and big-prize games. That said, it’s friendly and well designed, with excellent help, and the site works hard on its Facebook presence, adding an extra dimension for players who like to get involved in a community. A little bit of Candy from time to time doesn’t hurt anyone.

Candy Shop Bingo Review – Bingo Games

Unique Bonus Game At Candy Shop Bingo

Head to Betty’s Candy Kitchen to play Candy Bingo’s unique bonus games. There is a Candy Collector game based on a gumball machine and a Bonus Spinner. The Bonus Spinner guarantees a prize of some sort every time, paid in loyalty points. The Candy Collector has bigger prizes, including a big cash bonus, but they’re tougher to win. Candy Coins to play in the bonus games are earned by depositing at the site.

Game Options

If you don’t like the way the games play at Candy Shop Bingo then it’s easy enough to tweak things to suit your tastes. You’ll find the game options at the top right of the lobby or game screens. The speaker icon toggles the sound on and off, the cog symbol opens up the game options window.

With that you can tailor the room appearance by turning off animations, room intros, tooltips and themes. Game options allow you to turn off the 3TG alert, autodaubing and card sorting. The chat room can be tailored to tell you when other players arrive or leave and to show gifts. There is a choice of eight colours and eight nibs for your dauber.

Jackpots

There are progressive jackpots in 75- and 90-ball bingo. Like most of the Jackpots at Candy Shop Bingo they are networked. Big prize games are listed on the promotions page and on their own tab in the games lobby. There are some massive prizes on offer and a busy schedule of jackpot games.

Free Bingo

Candy Shop Bingo has four free bingo rooms for loyalty scheme members. Entry is earned by making deposits and the jackpots on offer increase as you climb the ladder.

Promotions

The promotions page is a little bare on first look. But click further into the lists and you’ll see there’s actually a good selection of quite generous offers including free games, refer-a-friend bonus, redeposit bonuses and a monthly prize raffle that is exclusive to this site.
