OK! Bingo first started life as OK! Mag Bingo and was originally launched on the Cyberbingo Network. However in April 2011 this network closed and OK! Bingo was left without a home like other publication brands like Daily Express Bingo. In July 2013 the brand reappeared online as part of the G2 Gtech/St Minver network powered by the software of the same name.
Upon landing at OK! Bingo for the first time you are immediately remind of the publication although only because of the logo. The overall design of the landing page is very similar to all other sites that have opted for this network.
There’s a scrolling banner that tells all of the welcome offers and some of the promotional offers available at the site. There are details of the bingo rooms that are open and also information about some of the jackpot values around the site. It’s not a design that instantly makes you want to register with the site if we are honest.
Registration to the site is pretty straightforward but if we are honest, it’s a bit frustrating to find that your mobile number is not optional; it has to be added in order to create an account. That said, you could opt out of receiving promotional texts by phone or email. The registration form is easy to complete and then you are ready to play.
The bingo lobby isn’t quite as packed with options as many of the brands online today, when we reviewed the site at 4.30pm on a Monday there were just two rooms open. One was 90 ball and the other 75 ball. Details available from the lobby include the room name, game type, game, ticket price, price per ticket, jackpot amount and the number of players in the room. Again, at the time of the review there were not many players at all – just 23 in total.
In the games rooms that layout is pretty standard for brands using the G2 Gtech software with the bingo tickets to the left of the screen and chat to the right. Above chat there are a selection of instant win games and details of the game prizes, jackpots and Balls To Bingo when a game is in play.
We like the Balls To Bingo feature on this software, it shows how many players are close to bingo and when they get close with just one number left, the number that they require too.
OK! Bingo and the other sites on this network are also home to Bingo Party Live, sessions where other games are played alongside the traditional games but with live bingo callers. How popular these are, we are not sure – we’ve yet to review a site when a live session is underway.
OK! Bingo Summary
OK! Bingo is just what the name suggests – OK. We weren’t interested in the game enough or the options to want to make a deposit and play more than we actually needed to in order to compile the review – that’s quite a tell in our opinion.
OK Bingo Review – Bingo Games
Free Bingo at OK Bingo
Free bingo is a daily feature at OK Bingo but it’s a bit pointless in our opinion as it is only available from 2am until 7am!
The prizes in these games are:
- One line for 50p
- Full House for £1.50
However, once a month the site does boast a day of no cost games. This is 12 hours of free games from 9am until 9pm and often towards the end of the month.
Each hour boasts 10 free games and the prizes are:
- One line for £1.00
- Two lines for £2.00
- Full House for £3.00
Jackpots
There are several different jackpots on offer at OK! Bingo but the most impressive are the progressives that are on offer.
Bingo Cafe – this jackpot starts at £50 and increases with every ticket sold. To win the jackpot you have to call bingo in just 50 numbers or less.
Bingo Party Live – this jackpot also starts at £50 and the full house must be won in 54 calls or less in order to win it.
Chat Games
Chat Games are available at OK! Bingo but you are not allowed to participate in two consecutive chat games which is a bit odd. Additionally you are only able to win if you have made a minimum deposit of £10 in the last seven days.
There are several different chat games played in the room, the following two are just examples – a full page is dedicated to the rules of the chat games at OK! Bingo.
Horse Race – Plays on Mondays and Thursdays
Pick a number from the B column and this is your horse, when the I, N, G and O numbers along with the B have been called, your horse has won the race. You do not have to claim, the CM will let you know the two winners.
Exact Price – Played on Saturdays
The chat host on duty will choose an item that you can buy in the shops. Players are asked to submit a guess of the prize. The person with the exact price wins the game. However, if no one guessed correctly the person with the closest answer will be awarded the chat game prize.
Unique Features
The Balls To Bingo feature is unique to the G2 GTech software and shows at the top of your screen when in a room. This indicates how many numbers to bingo yourself and other players have and when a player has just one number to go, this number is shown too.
