Nutty Bingo is a vibrant site on the Dragonfish network, offering crazy, fun and ‘nutty’ games…or so it claims. We all know how great the 888/Globalcom bingo platform is and we’re all a bit bored of it, if we’re honest. However, Nutty Bingo has made a clear effort to disguise this appearance, offering a fresh feeling to its website. Unfortunately, besides the logo across the top of the screen and some colour changes here and there, the actual bingo software looks like it does at all other Dragonfish sites.
Signing up at Nutty Bingo is a doddle and, if you’ve played at any other bingo site on the Dragonfish network, you’ll be able to register for a new account with your eyes closed. Enter a handful of details such as your name, age and address and you’re on your way. As per usual with sites on the network, you will be prompted for a payment method at the registration stage but you do not have to complete this section if you don’t wish to.
Once you’ve opened your new account you can head to the lobby, where you will find all of the games. There’s a great choice of bingo games, as expected at a Dragonfish site, plus there’s a big selection of instant win and bingo side games to occupy you in between games.
The bingo rooms are busy and you can always find a game, even in the middle of the night, although not all rooms are open 24/7. There are varying ticket prices that generally range from 5p per ticket to £1 per ticket but prices have been higher for special games. These prices accommodate for both the casual player and the high roller.
Nutty Bingo’s slogan, which is emblazened across their homepage says ‘Welcome to the Nuthouse’, insinuating that we were in for a crazy bingo experience. However, there were no mental patients to be found, not even slightly crazy bag ladies…or not that we met. There were just bingo players chatting and playing chat games. All pretty mundane if we’re being honest.
It would be easy for us to dismiss Nutty Bingo for being ‘just another Dragonfish site’ but that would be unfair for a couple of reasons. Firstly, the Dragonfish Bingo Network is a huge success, even if it could do with some updating; it’s still a rock-solid and functional bingo platform. Secondly, a big effort has clearly been made by the designers at Nutty Bingo to make the site feel fresh and new, which they have done successfully in our opinion.
So, as long as you’re not in search of a groundbreaking new way to play online bingo, Nutty Bingo is well worth a visit and as dull and repetitive as it may be, the software is still one of the best bingo platforms around.
Nutty Bingo Review – Bingo Games
Game Options at Nutty Bingo
The 888/Globalcom bingo platform needs little introduction. However, if you’re new to the game, we can tell you that the play window is very easy to use, featuring simple to follow tickets and a straightforward purchasing system. There’s also a nice big chat window, and all of the options you need to make yourself at home while playing your favourite games of bingo.
There are three flavours of bingo available at Nutty Bingo. They are; US-style 75-ball pattern bingo, classic European 90-ball bingo and the novel High Five 75-ball bingo.
- 75-Ball Bingo – plays on a 5×5 card with the centre square marked off. There are two prizes to play for – the pattern for that game and a full house.
- 90-Ball Bingo – is the traditional game known by most, using a 3×9 ticket with 15 numbers to mark off. Prizes are paid for one line, two lines and a full house.
- High Five Bingo – is a twist on the usual 75-ball format, with prizes being paid for horizontal, vertical and diagonal lines.
The bingo is accompanied by a huge choice of side games that include traditional casino table games such as roulette and a mass of online slots games that include big titles such as Zuma Slots, Fluffy Favouries and Shaman’s Dream.
There are free gifts available and deposit bonuses galore at Nutty Bingo, but there’s no free bingo cash to get you started. There are free bingo rooms that allow you to get a feel for the site but there isn’t a no-deposit bonus for simply registering.
As with all sites on the network, there’s a decent selection of promotions and specials to sink your teeth into but unfortunately they taste just the same as the promotions at other sites on the network. So, if you’ve played at other Dragonfish sites recently, you will instantly recognise the various special games, guaranteed jackpots, happy hours and other offers that you’ve seen many times before.
The famous Grab a Grand monthly game is a popular special that plays on the first of every month. As is the Mystic £555 guaranteed jackpot game that takes place at Nutty Bingo and across the Dragonfish network every 11 days.
Something that Nutty Bingo does offer that’s a bit different is The Nuthouse bingo room, which is a standalone room that’s operated in partnership with Bingo Port (another online bingo portal). Allegedly, it’s where all of the ‘real nutters hangout’ or so it says on the promo page.
The room is open for just two hours each week, Tuesdays from 7pm-9pm and it can be found under the Specials tab in the lobby. Each game has a guaranteed fixed pot of £50 and there’s also an extra prize for the player who wins the most FHs in the night.
