Ruby Bingo recently changed their welcome bonus structure for new players, an amendment that we weren’t aware of until we paid a visit to the site yesterday. This brand has always been one that offered a no deposit required bonus to new players but this has been scrapped and in its place, just the usual cash match bonus albeit it higher than previously offered.
New players to Ruby Bingo used to be able to claim £5 free just for registering an account and then a 300% cash match deal. Sign up with the site now and you’ll get the 300% bingo bonus AND a £10 games bonus on top. So whilst there’s a deposit required, the actual bonus is slightly improved – they’ve simply removed the ‘try before you buy’ option.
Claiming the bonus is pretty easy you just have to register with the site, create a chat username (the name that you will be referred to as in the rooms), make a £10 deposit and spend it on bingo within seven days of signing up and then the bonus (£30 bingo, £10 games) will be credited to your account.
You should note the wagering requirements of this bonus though. For the bingo part of the bonus the wagering is just 3x the amount of the bonus but for the games freebie, the wagering is 20x the amount of the bonus. These are pretty standard across the online gaming industry though, nothing that makes us suck air through our teeth or feel inclined to tell you to run for the hills!
What do you think? Should Ruby Bingo have stuck with the no deposit required welcome bonus or do you like the new structure?
