With so many brands available on the Internet today there are many different ways in which an online bingo site will try and ensure you stay loyal to them. Often loyalty points and a VIP scheme is the best that you can expect but every now and again we will see something a little different emerge from a network. The 15 Network, home of Elf Bingo, have recently introduced a promotion called VIP Of the Month and winners will be awarded a little something more than previously if they are awarded the title.
We’re not overly impressed with how a VIP is chosen and Elf Bingo and the other 15 Networks in this networked promotion (a promotion that site owners have no control over, it is introduced by the network rather than each individual site). It’s a points based system with the player who scored the most taking the title BUT, the points are earned for wagering on games which means it is always going to be high rollers who take home the prize.
What Is A VIP Player?
A VIP player, in our opinion is much more than a player who spends the most at a site. It’s someone who contributes to the social media aspect of the site, who contributes to chat and is friendly and welcoming to players. The points system would be more tolerable if there were points awarded for this sort of contribution too rather than just spending.
The points are scored as follows:
- Five points for every £1 you deposit
- One point for every £1 that you wager
The VIP Of The Month Prize
The prize that is going to be awarded to the player who is awarded the title each month is a secret. The network has chosen to keep the prize under wraps for now but we’re hoping that it will be something quite substantial!
Each month the scores will be reset and a VIP Of The Month winner announced at Elf Bingo and the other 22 sites on the network currently. There is just one winner across the network, not one player per site.
