If you are a fan of the internet bingo sites powered by the 888/Globalcom software that are networked, then you will no doubt have noticed the addition of Virtual Gifts on the Dragonfish network. We have to ask, in our usual upfront manner, what an earth is the point of this new feature on many sites? As usual, this is just our opinion, yours may differ, but we would rather use our points for free bingo than sending pointless gifts to our mates.
Don’t get us wrong, we aren’t knocking brands like Bingo Lottery who have incorporated this feature, they have no control over additions to the Dragonfish network. It won’t have been something they asked for, merely something that Dragonfish chose to add in their wisdom. In our opinion surely the time and effort spent on creating this function would have been better invested in incorporating a new variant of the internet bingo game. With brands powered by Virtue Fusion there are additional games aside from pattern 75 ball and traditional 90 ball bingo available. To bring the 888/Globalcom software up to speed then we should be seeing multi-line or multi-part 75 ball bingo available as well as maybe 80 ball, Shutterboard, games as well.
Is this just lip service for social networking? After all people do spend REAL cash on sites like Facebook for games like Farmville etc. Are Dragonfish trying to create a drop in the amount of free cash floating around their sites?
Virtual gifts on the Dragonfish network cost bingo points to send to your friends. From 10 points to 40 points dependant on the gift and then they just sit in your Virtual Gifts sections and appear next to your chat name when you type in chat. The point being what exactly? Not only do these virtual gifts make chat harder to follow, they are a complete waste of time and points! 1,000 loyalty points at sites like Bingo Cove can be exchanged for £1 of free bingo and maybe we are being tight, but we would rather have more freebies than dish out pointless gifts in the chat rooms!
We won’t even mention the new ‘Autobuy’ feature……
What do you think about the new feature on the networked brands?
