There is a new game show on our television screens called Spin Star, it airs every day at 3.15pm during the week and is hosted by none other than Bradley Walsh. I can see you scratching your heads there – what has this got to do with internet bingo? Well Spin Star is sponsored by William Hill Bingo – that’s what it has to do with the world of online bingo!
Also, although the format is not internet bingo related in anyway it is gaming related as the whole show centres around a Las Vegas type slot machine. The concept of the game is that there is one “Spin Star” and five contestants; the idea is that they answer questions correctly in order that the Spin Star gets to spin the 5 reel machine to rack up cash prizes.
With Spin Star being sponsored by William Hill Bingo this means that just before the show and at the end of it there are bumper clips for William Hill Bingo – these also show at the beginning and end of the ad breaks – similar to the Foxy Bingo sponsorship on the Jeremy Kyle show and that of Wink Bingo and Family Fortunes.
What I like about Spin Star sponsored by William Hill Bingo is that it’s more relevant to online gaming than any other of the bingo sponsorship deals around at the moment. I’ve seen 888ladies sponsoring Maury and Fear Factor and the two previously mentioned – all nothing to do with online gaming of any description. Having said that I think I recall Jeremy Kyle hosting a show about online bingo addiction or something similar!
The big sponsorship though has to go to PartyGaming group who are behind ITV Bingo and ultimately Bingo Night Live!
