A pensioner from Easthampstead who is an avid bingo fan has made it through to the Gala Bingo Championship Final which will take place towards the beginning of November. Gala Bingo is a well-established bingo company both in halls and online and players have been battling it out over the past few weeks in order to be crowned the Ultimate Bingo Champion. The lucky pensioner, Marion Riddy, is the latest finalist to make it through to the UBC final which will be held in Gibraltar. Marion is set to join the other finalists who all hope to win an amazing prize.
Ms Riddy, 70, should be very proud of herself as she has beaten more than 60,000 other bingo players to take part in this bingo championship. She is a member at the Gala Bingo club in Wokingham however she had to travel down to Medway, Kent to secure her place into the UBC final.
One other finalist who is set to join Marion is Anne Lindley from Morecambe who managed to get through to the finals when she called bingo in Leeds a few weeks ago. There are in total 183 finalists who will all want to be Gala Bingo’s Ultimate Bingo Champion and win the top prize of £20,000 and a trip to Las Vegas.
All finalists will have to have their lucky charms packed and ready to go when November comes round. Everyone knows that there isn’t much skill associated with playing bingo so players will have to cross their fingers and hope that luck will be on their side when the championship takes place next month.
