The much loved soap Emmerdale has a brand new online bingo sponsor. The new sponsor is the internet bingo site Bet365 Bingo, who from today (12th March) will start to sponsor the UK television soap. Previously the online bingo site Tombola Bingo sponsored Emmerdale, however Bet365 Bingo has signed a brand new two year, seven figure deal to sponsor Emmerdale. This deal means that at the beginning, middle and end of the soap viewers will see the short online bingo adverts from Bet365 Bingo along with Emmerdale content on the ITV Player.
Emmerdale, which first aired in 1972 and was previously known as Emmerdale Farm, has on average 7.6 million viewers per episode, meaning that this brand new sponsorship deal could pay off well for Bet365 Bingo. Jason Spencer is the Business Development Director at ITV and he believes that Emmerdale is one of the most iconic programmes on ITV which makes it a highly sought after sponsorship property.
Everyone knows that the best way to get people aware of a bingo site is through advertising and more importantly television advertising. Having an online bingo site sponsor a show is something that isn’t new and was first bought to our attention way back when Foxy Bingo first started to sponsor the Jeremy Kyle show. Now numerous other bingo sites have sponsorship deals with shows and these include Family Fortunes and RedBus Bingo, The Chase and XBingo and also The Cube and Wink Bingo.
Whether this will prompt other bingo sites to jump on the television advertising band-wagon remains to be seen, however keep an eye out for the latest Bet365 Bingo adverts while watching Emmerdale and let us know your thoughts.
