It was only a couple of days ago that we reported on a 15 Network brand that is coming soon. Today the news is of the 19th brand to launch on the same network, Film Bingo. We popped along to the site today and reviewed what it had to offer but before you think ‘another networked brand’ it is worth knowing that this site has a little more than your standard promotions to offer.
Film Bingo does have the same bingo offerings and the same instant win games available BUT alongside the networked promotions, there are a couple of exclusives available at launch. There is the Facebook Film Fans offers (cinema vouchers given away when certain social networking milestones are met) and the chance to win a home cinema in another exclusive promotion.
However, what sets this site apart from many online bingo brands is that all the profits generated are used to fund a variety of film projects. The brand is owned by the Dogs of Annwn Ltd, a small UK production company that already have one feature film under their belt, Devil’s Bridge. This film featured Joseph Millson (Casino Royale and Holby City) and Gary Mavers (Peak Practice).
Visit the site and there is a special ‘Film Projects’ page with progress bars for various different projects that the owner’s are involved in. There are being transparent about the plans for their profits. Jackpots, promotions, house prize money – all of the remains the same as at any other site on the network, it is simply the profits generated by Film Bingo that will be used to fund the listed projects.
It’s like the National Lottery meets Kickstarter as the owner’s themselves define it.
