When it comes to ensuring that your internet bingo brand is THE best known to both players and non-players alike then you have to admit that Foxy Bingo always comes up trumps. However the latest venture from the marketing geniuses of the brand really doesn’t appeal to me at first glance – Furever by Foxy is a perfume that the brand have launched but the name and the mascot combined really doesn’t make me think of a nice smell! More wet dog than pleasing to the nostrils!
I have yet to smell the Foxy Furever perfume but from a personal perspective it all just seems wrong – firstly because it’s a brand of perfume marketed by a FOX! Although the mascot from Foxy Bingo is very suave and debonair and even, some might say, quite attractive, he is still a FOX. The second part that doesn’t sit right with me is that Lauren Goodger, she of The Only Way is Essex fame, is involved.
Now no disrespect to people from Essex but you have to admit that Essex girls don’t have the best reputation in the world. Of course it’s a stereotype that doesn’t apply to the majority of the female population of Essex but nevertheless it still sticks like mud right?
An analogy that my husband came up with is that it’s a little like Jordan meets Basil Brush – boom, boom!
Of course this could be another real hit with the public and I may well be in the minority but as always, I have a platform to air my opinion and there it is.
