To tell you the truth you just never know what Foxy Bingo are going to come up with next and their sponsorship of the Super League Wags Walk certainly put a smile on my face. The lovable fox has got up to many tricks and antics over the years, some great and some not so, but he has certainly come good for lots of different charities and this time is was the ‘Life for a Kid’ charity which received the furry paw of approval.
Foxy Bingo are the current sponsors of Rugby Super League and this is the first time we have ever seen an online bingo site partner a rugby sporting event such as this. This latest charity undertaking was initiated by the wives and girlfriends of the Super League players.
The wags walk was a planned charity event to concur Ben Nevis and the Fox made sure he put his paw print on the event, not only supplying the fleeces which were of course purple in colour and had the Foxy logo on them, but he also supplied water bottles and rucksacks for all the ladies who participate in the walk, plus Foxy put their money where their mouths are and sponsored the wags walk to the tune of £1,000.
The foxy ladies concurred Ben Nevis which was a 15km round trip at the end of July in aid of the charity Life for a Kid and they have so far raised over £13,000 (as currently shown on the Virgin Money giving Rugby Wags fundraising page) – what a great achievement!
One of the foxy ladies had this to say, ‘The higher the mountain, the harder it is to climb, but the better the view from the finishing line.’
Life for a Kid (LFAK) – Is a charity which was set up in March 2009 to help support children who require life changing operations and equipment to lead a better life. The LFAK foundation only actually come about after the fundraising efforts of the Great Britain Rugby Super League All Stars.
Foxy has certainly done it again – leading the way for others to follow in their footsteps. To keep up with all Foxy’s expeditions simply join Foxy Bingo today and take them up on their current 200% welcome bonus package.
