Party Bingo was once the flagship bingo brand for Bwin.Party but then in July 2009 Bwin.Party acquired Cashcade, the company behind Foxy Bingo and the Party brand really couldn’t compete with such a powerhouse and became like the poor relation, an afterthought if you like. Just recently we saw the brand announce that all chat rooms were closing but on 3rd June 2015 we say farewell to Party Bingo for good and to be honest, we’re not sad to see it go.
Party Bingo has never really quite hit the bingo spot if we’re honest; the software was poor, the promotions dire and we actually stopped promoting the brand in August 2010 due to a number of player issues that had been bought to our attention.
What we will tip our hats to them for though is how they have handled the impending closure. Whilst we may not have received news via email (that’s not to say regular players didn’t), the brand have provided a full page of FAQs for players at the site. This page contains the answers to the most popular questions that are likely to be asked.
Party Bingo Closure FAQs
We love their honesty in the first question, a question about why the brand is closing. Party Bingo are succinct in their response that basically their brand isn’t quite as good as Foxy Bingo which they feel offers players the best bingo experience.
Another question that we would have posed ourselves would have been about a potential re-launch in the future, could we see Party Bingo rise from the ashes but on a 888/Cassava platform rather than the proprietary software previously used. The answer was short and to the point that they have no plans to re-launch the brand now or in the future.
Then there is the question of funds remaining in accounts with the brand and that is easily surmountable, your account with Party isn’t actually closing because poker, sports and casino remains so you can access your account there.
We’re not grieving the loss of the brand, are you?
