When Lights Camera Bingo first launched into the world of online bingo (as Quiz Show Bingo) I fell in love with the site instantly; I loved the uniqueness of the brand, the community feel, the proprietary software and much more besides but most of all I loved Keith, Paul and Claire – the Live Bingo presenters that the site offers daily from 3 until 11pm. However for me the first flush of passion has faded with Lights Camera Bingo and I am about ready to move on….
Why has my interest waned? Because like many other brands before them it’s quickly become about lining their pockets and the focus on player experience has been lost. You’d think after more than 5 years in the online bingo industry I’d have learnt my lesson but no, Lights Camera Bingo flirted with me, told me everything I wanted to hear until my bingo heart was stolen and then it went and changed on me. So what’s that big change?
Previously you could access the Live Show as much as you wanted once you had made a deposit but last week Lights Camera Bingo moved the goal posts; now you can only access the room if you have made a deposit in the last seven days. At first I accepted this change knowing that it was the most popular room, people sometimes played there rather than playing bingo and the site does need to make some sort of profit so I made a minimum deposit of £5 last week and popped in to say hello. My money is still sitting in my account, I didn’t play any games, simply said hello, chatted for five minutes and left – no I didn’t even play a free quiz game. Today, a week later I’ve popped back to say hello and once again need to make a deposit despite my balance still being £5.69!
Now my advice to Lights Camera Bingo is this re-think things and fast! There must be a better way in which to ensure players spend money at your site – restrict the number of games in the Live Show per deposit or something but don’t hold a virtual gun to their heads to make them deposit and see the reasons they keep coming back anyway which is the live bingo presenters Keith, Claire and Paul! Players will start to let their fingers do the walking and that will be by typing another bingo sites web address in their browser because for me, that’s it, you’ve broken my heart!
