One of the most popular Facebook bingo applications is Bingo Blitz and last night saw many users in this social networking site left disappointed when they could no longer find the game! The official news from Buffalo Studios, the operators, is that Bingo Blitz has been removed from Facebook with no prior notification. They are currently awaiting an official response from Facebook as to the reason behind the removal.
You can read the full statement from Buffalo Studios regarding the removal of Bingo Blitz here:
So what does this mean for players who have been saving their credits or just simply love the game? Well at this point in time there are no answers but it does beg the question, is Facebook becoming the “Google” of social networking? Are we set to see other popular apps on this free site removed?
I’m not sure of the process when it comes to submitting an app to Facebook; whether there is a charge involved or you simply get added but could it be, if all apps are listed for free, that Facebook have decided they want a piece of the Bingo Blitz pie and are going to charge them to be back on the site?
We’ll keep you posted of any developments in the missing Facebook Bingo Blitz saga but we’re pretty sure that normal service will be resumed pretty quickly – after all there is already a page called “Bring Back Bingo Blitz” with 100 users despite the app only being removed yesterday!
