Friday 25th September saw the £200K jackpot game take place at many different brands online that are powered by the 888 / Cassava software. What always surprises us about these big money games, of which there have now been two, is that we don’t actually hear much about the winners. News about the winners is scarce and it’s only that I sat in on the game and then asked for details from the powers that be, that I have the information required.
May £200K Jackpot Game
The first £200K jackpot game played at the end of May at the winner was a lucky player from Red Bus Bingo. This player landed themselves a £100,000 prize pool and then £60,000 was shared by the 1TG players and £40,000 by those left with 2tg.
The 1TG players, there were 22, each won £2,727.27 and the 2TG, of which there were 251, each won £159.37.
September £200K Jackpot Game
The results for the game that played on 25th September 2015 are:
- One line – Chicki07 – an Iceland Bingo player
- Two lines – RCZGIRL – a Cheeky Bingo player
- Full house – Griff123 – a Foxy Bingo player.
The one line was called in eight numbers, the two lines in 25 numbers and the full house in just 38 calls.
I was in the room when the game played and each of the winner names popped up with a suffix. ICE, CHY and FY respectively. I wondered why this has happened and asked the question of someone at 888.
The response was interesting but completely understandable. As you will know if you’re a player at multiple 888 brands you cannot have the same username from one Dragonfish brand to another. However, with multiple sub-networks being included in the game, the operators had to differentiate a player from brand to brand. This was done with the use of a suffix. Chicki07 wouldn’t have seen her name as Chicki07ICE, but I did because I was playing at Farmyard Bingo rather than at Iceland Bingo.
I’m probably the only person who noticed the suffixes but in case anyone else did too, there’s the perfectly reasonable explanation.
