Big Boat Bingo Review

Big Boat Bingo - Facebook At the start of 2015 we wanted to check the Big Boat Bingo app on Facebook but a search failed to turn up any results. The following review is for information purposes only as the app is no longer available.

Big Boat Bingo is a Facebook bingo app with around 200 monthly active users at the time of writing this review. Currently in Beta testing means that Big Boat Bingo could still see some significant enhancements over the coming weeks and months, so despite what is already and enjoyable free bingo application, further improvements are very much on the cards.

When you load Big Boat Bingo you will be greeted with a tutorial. Like most tutorials, this is very basic and only gives you enough information to start playing. All of the extra features that are offered by this Facebook bingo app will need to learned as you go along.

You can play both 90 ball bingo and 75 ball bingo at Big Boat Bingo, so however you like to play, you will be able to find something to suit you here.

Despite this application being in Beta there did not appear to be any problems with loading or games stalling. However, bugs can pop up from time to time when changes are made but they should be ironed out fairly quickly.

Big Boat Bingo Review – Game Objective and Features

Object of the Game

Like all bingo games, your primary goal will be to get bingo. How you achieve this will vary at Big Boat Bingo depending on the game type. If you play the 90 ball bingo version, then you can win on one line, two lines and a full house. 75 ball bingo requires one line in any direction or all for corners. But bear in mind that other variations and patterns could be added at any time.

Once you have viewed the brief tutorial, you will be asked to choose a destination. Big Boat Bingo will show a map with the choices available and in the in initial stages, you will only be able to choose Hawaii. When you enter Hawaii, you can hover any of the four gold stars which will tell you the name of the bingo room and the kind of Big Boat Bingo game will be playing. It will also tell you the card cost and the payout for 1st place. Whether you choose the 75 ball bingo game or 90 ball bingo game, you will need to mark your own bingo cards and claim a win.

When you enter a bingo room you will be given an option on how many cards or strips you can buy but think about how many you can easily manage considering that Big Boat Bingo has no auto daub or auto claim options. Select how many cards you want to play and wait for the bingo game to begin.

As the bingo numbers are called, you will need to mark any that match on your bingo cards by clicking on the relevant numbers. Whether you are playing 90 or 75 ball bingo, what you need to achieve to win will be shown at the bottom beneath your bingo cards. If you win, just click on the ‘BINGO’ button at the bottom to claim your win.

Special Features

Big Boat Bingo is not in any way short of special features to help you play. Chat of course is one of the most important features unrelated to game play. However, those that help you through the game and enhance your experience are plentiful too.

Power-Ups help you to achieve bingo and the meter for this is above that Chat box. When fully charged, click on this and you will receive a helping hand.

Like many Facebook bingo apps, you receive experience points (XP) as you play. XP enables you to climb through the levels, open up more rooms and destinations.

Visit the store and you can buy collectables. Each different destination at Big Boat Bingo has its own set of collectables so try to buy all of them as you progress. Alternatively, invite as many of your Facebook friends as possible and you can ask them to send these items as gifts and do the same for them in return. You can also view the trophies available in the store, buy Power-Ups, as well as create your own Avatar.

Tournaments

There are no active tournaments available at Big Boat Bingo at the time of writing this review. However, once Beta testing is completed, there could be a whole range of extra features and competitions and tournaments could be part of these, so keep your eyes open.

Any friends who choose to join you at Big Boat Bingo will become part of your Crew and listed at the bottom of the page. You can play against each other as well as help each other and see who can climb the highest through levels in the shortest space of time.

Rewards

The rewards at Big Boat Bingo are simple to understand. Some Facebook bingo apps offer a very complex system that is difficult to get to grips with but this is not the case here.

Logging into Big Boat Bingo every day will give you free credits. Each consecutive day that you play, the higher your rewards will be. Bingo Bucks which are green are what you use to purchase your bingo cards and you will earn them with every game that you play. However, Gold can be a bingo prize if you have a win and both will climb with every number you cross off on your bingo cards, as well as your XP. Gold can be used in the store to buy collectables and Power Ups.
